Braun's defense
Information is coming out that Ryan Braun may have taken a medication for a "private medical issue" that raised his testosterone level to a level that would have caused his failed drug test. This "private medical issue" will at some point in time become public, but for now not much more information is coming out. Once again we are reminded of the "tainted meat" defense and the "kissing" defense, as we anxiously await the name of the defense Braun will use.
Sacramento Kings void contract of Chuck Hayes
Chuck Hayes who recently signed a four year, $21.3 million contract with the Sacramento Kings, has had his contract voided by the team. Kings General Manager Geoff Petrie said thatHayes' contract was voided because of Hayes failing his physical. The team announced last week that a heart exam on Hayes showed an abnormality that would require further testing.
Senior Bowl seeking title sponsor
The most prestigious of the college football all-star games is without a title sponsor. The Senior Bowl considered to be the most important of the postseason all-star games, lost its sponsor of the last several years when Under Armour decided to discontinue its sponsorship. A Senior Bowl official indicated that just because there is a lack of a title sponsor, it does not mean the game is in financial trouble.
