Big East seeks dismissal of West Virginia lawsuit
Attorneys for the Big East will file a motion to dismiss the lawsuit filed by West Virginia University. West Virginia's suit asks the court to allow the school to leave the Big East for the Big 12 by next July.
Attorneys for the Big East will file a motion to dismiss the lawsuit filed by West Virginia University. West Virginia's suit asks the court to allow the school to leave the Big East for the Big 12 by next July.
The Big East currently has its own suit filed in Rhode Island seeking to compel West Virginia to remain in the conference for an additional 27 months. The Big East argues that West Virginia's claim should be dismissed, or if not dismissed, it should be moved to Rhode Island where the conference is based.
NBA players vote to bring back union
NBA players have authorized a reformation of their union. With the return of the union, the players can now go ahead and ratify a new CBA. With the ratification of the CBA, the NBA season will be one step closer to tipping off.
Baseball players OK labor deal
As expected, Major League baseball players have approved a new labor agreement that will run through the end of the 2016 season.
