Talks between players and owners have started up again in another effort to end the ongoing lockout and get the NBA season started. With the decertifcation of the players' union, talks are centered around resolving the lawsuits filed by the two sides.

Attorney Dabid Boies is one of the representatives of the NBA players. Boies has received much publicity of late in the Sports Law arena. It was earlier this year that Boies was brought on board by the NFL to help handle the Brady antitust lawsuit. Now Boies turns around and works for the NBA players. Boies role with the NFL and now the NBA players has raised the conflict question, since one owner, Paul Allen owns both an NFL and NBA team.
