MLB owners approve sale of Astros and then send them to AL for 2013

Baseball owners gave approval for the sale of the Houston Astros to Jim Crane.  Because the Astros agreed to move to the American League, the sales price of the club was lowered from $680 million to $615 million. Crane bought the team from Drayton McLane, who had owned the Astros since 1992.

FIFA tries new approach to anti-doping program

Soccer players who take part in the seven-team Club World Cup in December will be part of a new anti-doping program utilizing a biological passport.

Cuttino Mobley, a former NBA player is suing the New York Knicks claiming the team forced him to retire in order to allow the team to save $19 million dollars.
