Dodgers and Fox Sports don't see eye to eye

Fox Sports Net West is upset the Los Angeles Dodgers are seeking bids to televise Dodgers games for 2014 and beyond. Fox Sports claims it has  a contract in place to televise the Dodgers through 2013 and that there is also an exclusive negotiating rights period from October 15, 2012 to November 30, 2012. Fox Sports and its affiliate Prime Ticket argue that the Dodgers being able to seek bids for their media rights is a clear breach of the agreement between the Dodgers and Fox Sports Net West.

The Dodgers counter this argument by claiming Fox Sports is interfering with the franchises efforts to sell the team. The Dodgers further argue that by soliciting bids it will allow potential buyers to see the value of the club after the current television rights deal expires in 2013.

Marlins reportedly offer nine year deal to Pujols

The Florida Marlins are rumored to have a contract proposal in place for Albert Pujols. Fox Sports reports a nine-year, fully guaranteed deal is on the table for Pujols.
