As expected: NBA players reject owners' proposal

Commissioner David Stern's ultimatum did little to convince NBA players of the value of accepting the owners' current CBA proposal. The most interesting aspect of Tuesday's news was the reversal of roles of Michael Jordan. Jordan now an owner of the Charlotte Bobcats is considered one of the hard line owners who was against David Stern even offering the players a 50-50 split of basketball related-income. However, it was during the last lockout that Jordan the player, said that then Washington owner Abe Pollin should sell the team if he couldn't make a profit without concessions from the players.

Houston Nutt buyout

Ole Miss has forced football coach Houston Nutt to resign at the end of the current season After nine games  the Rebels sport a 2-9 record this season. The buyout on Nutt's contract will be close to $6 million.
