Golfer Rory McIIroy has decided to leave longtime agent Chubby Chandler of International Sports Management for Horizon Sports Management of Dublin, Ireland. McIIroy who won the 2011 U.S. Open, made it sound like a high school break-up with his girlfriend by suggesting he can still be friends with Chandler. Somehow we suspect Chandler will not have the same feeling of wanting to be friends with McIlroy.

Agent Brett Senior tries to talk his way out of a jam

After agent Brett Senior was quoted as saying, "we’ve got options available to us" when asked about Miami football coach Al Golden and an escape clause in his contract, he quickly backtracked after Golden questioned his agent's take on the matter. Senior soon switched gears and spoke of Golden bringing national championships to Miami and Golden's commitment to the players and the school.

But the damage had already been done and Golden was quick to express his displeasure with his agent.  Check back next week to see if Senior goes the way of Chubby Chandler.
