MLB has two postponements on Wednesday
The weather in St. Louis caused game six of the 2011 World Series to be postponed on Wednesday, and in Delaware, Judge Kevin Gross announced a postponement of the Dodgers bankruptcy trial. With the World Series we will know the outcome within the next two days, however it will be several more weeks before we have a winner declared in Delaware. It is thought that the bankruptcy trial was continued in order for Frank McCourt to work out a deal with Major League Baseball in which McCourt would agree to sell the team.

NBA talks resume
With the first two weeks of the NBA regular season already canceled, NBA owners and players went back to the bargaining table. As of the last bargaining session the players were willing to accept 52.5% of basketball related income (BRI) from the owners, down drastically from the 57% they received last year. While the owners were willing only to agree to a 50-50 split of BRI. It would be one thing if this was the only issue standing in the way of a new CBA, however many other issues remain to be settled. With the issue of the structure of the salary cap also causing heated debate between the two sides, don't expect any miracle settlements over the next few days.
