Sports Law and Al Davis

For Sports Law students the Al Davis legacy might be as important as any name in the history of Sports Law. The Raiders franchise movement from Oakland to Los Angeles back to Oakland allows student to take a look at  not only antitrusteminent domain and the by-laws of the NFL, but also at the street smarts that is needed to survive in any cutthroat business. Al Davis from Brooklyn, New York exhibited the street smarts that many lawyers lack. So there is much we can learn from the Raider great both good and bad.  So stay tuned to SLT over the next few weeks for more on this legendary figure and his role in the Sports Law World.
