Andy Roddick talks tennis union

The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) is just what it sounds like - an association of professional tennis players, but it is not a union. Andy Roddick is now suggesting that there should be consideration given to the forming of a union for pro players. At the most recent U.S. Open Roddick noted that players had no voice in how the tournament handled weather related issues.

The ATP was formed in 1972 with the idea of giving players a greater input in determining the future of the sport. To view a June 2009 SLT post on the ATP, click on this link.
