SEC gives thumbs-up to A&M; 43 NBA preseason games lost

SEC welcomes Texas A&M

The Southeastern Conference announced on Sunday that Texas A&M will be joining the league for the 2012-13 academic year. No announcement has yet been made if the SEC will add a 14th team or go with an unbalanced 13 team league.

NBA cancels 43 preseason games

The NFL lockout caused the cancellation of just one preseason football game. The NBA on the other hand on Friday announced the cancellation of 43 preseason games. Over the coming days and weeks look for the cancellation of many more games, including regular season games. The NFL lockout caused a tremendous outcry from the national media to get the labor situation resolved, the same sense of urgency is not evident from either the public or the national media with respect to the NBA.
