Vote by MLB on sale of Astros is postponed

Major League Baseball continues to do its due diligence on the sale of the Houston Astros from current owner Drayton McLane to a group led by Jim Crane. Because the group that Jim Crane heads up is so large, MLB needs more time to complete the research and investigation needed on all of the Crane group investors. The vote on the sale of the team instead of happening this week should take place over the next two weeks.

MLB deadline for draft picks to sign

August 15 was the deadline for Major League Baseball draft picks to sign contracts with the teams that drafted them. Here is a run down on some of the deals that occurred midday on Monday. Expect many last minute deals to have occurred late Monday night.

Issues for NBA players heading to Europe
