Former UNC football player denied reinstatement

Durham County Superior Court Judge Orlando Hudson (no, not the San Diego Padres second baseman) ruled against Michael McAdoo in his attempt to be reinstated to the University of North Carolina football team. Judge Hudson said McAdoo's claim did not meet the criteria required for an injunction. McAdoo had sought reinstatement after being declared permanently ineligible to play college football because of academic misconduct. Though McAdoo's claim for injunctive relief was denied, his suit for libel and gross negligence will move forward according to his attorney.
