Who are they talking about?

Over the last month Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk and others have made a big deal about progress being made toward to a new NFL-NFLPA CBA  when "the lawyers" have been excluded from the settlement talks. Former Tar Heel football players sues UNC and NCAA

Michael McAdoo has  filed a lawsuit against the University of North Carolina and the NCAA seeking to be reinstated to the football team. McAdoo had been declared permanently ineligible for academic misconduct last October. Attorneys for McAdoo accuse UNC and the NCAA of libel and "gross negligence" in ruling McAdoo ineligible.

Retired NFL players feel left-out of mediation

NFL greats Carl Eller, Franco Harris, Marcus Allen, Paul Krause and others are asking Judge Susan Nelson to stop the court ordered mediation because the former players claim they are being left out of the settlement talks. The retired players have filed a class-action complaint against both the owners and current players claiming they are not being represented in the mediation sessions.
