Sergio Tacchini 10 year deal with Djokovic pays-off

In 2009 Italian sportswear company Sergio Tacchini signed tennis player Novak Djokovic away from Adidas. Tacchini's 10 year deal with Djokovic looked like a way to get the sportswear company back in the tennis forefront with a top five player.  However, following Djokovic's Wimbledon victory this past weekend, and his 43 match win streak earlier this year - the deal for Sergio Tacchini is turning out far better than ever anticipated.

Nike does new deal with Vick

The Michael Vick turn around story continues as Nike re-signs Vick to an endorsement deal. Nike had previously terminated a contract with Vick almost four years ago.

Locked out!

It's old news now, but the NBA lockout is underway. The last lockout in 1998-99 reduced the NBA season from 82 games to just 50. As of now the NBAPA does not look like it will use the NFLPA's tactic of decertifying the union.

No lockout in NHL

With both the NBA and NFL missing out on player movement this off-season, the NHL at least has player transactions to discuss.
The NHL's free agency period is underway with notable signings already taking place.
