NBA players in 'total disbelief' when updated on state of labor negotiations
 
Los Angeles Laker guard and NBAPA president Derek Fisher stated that NBA players are in "total disbelief" when players are briefed on the current state of labor talks. NBA Commissioner David Stern spoke of the owners' new proposal of a "flex cap", which the players quickly rejected as nothing more than a hard cap in disguise. With the June 30 expiration of the NBA CBA approaching, it appears the NBA will soon  join the NFL in a lockout.
