NCAA rejects Trojans' appeal of the Bush case
 
One of the most storied college football programs of all-time will not get a break from the NCAA. It has been reported that the NCAA has rejected USC's appeal in total. USC will only be allowed to sign 15 players each of the next three seasons, as well as being ineligible to play in the new  Pac-12 championship game. The sanctions stem from Reggie Bush receiving improper benefits during his time at USC and USC's failure to monitor a high profile athlete of the magnitude of Bush.

Doping rules keep Mauresmo out of French Open
 
Retired French tennis star Amelie Mauresmo will be unable to compete in the French Open mixed doubles because she is no longer in the anti- doping program of the International Tennis Federation.

NFL assistant coaches file brief in support of players
 
The NFL Assistant Coaches Association which shares its offices with the NFLPA has filed a brief with the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in support of the players. Remember that head coaches are considered management, while assistant coaches are considered employees.
