Sacramento Kings get another year; Players' jokes offered in evidence by NFL
May 3, 2011
Kings earn one last chance in Sacramento
Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson had reason to be proud Monday, as it was announced that the Kings will be given one more year in the California capital city. Co-owner of the Kings Joe Maloof, and NBA Commissioner David Stern made it clear that if plans were
not in place for a new arena after next season, the team would move on.
What is notable about the latest twist in the Sacramento Kings
franchise is the flexibility shown by David Stern, who at the NBA
All-Star game made it clear that the Kings were out of chances.

Flip statement and sarcasm passed off as evidence
ProFootballTalk points out that the NFL used statements by both Ray Lewis and Wes Welker in court on Monday to show that the players are not being harmed by the lockout. What is interesting is that neither of the players were being serious in their statements.
