Undrafted players left out; Future of Fiesta Bowl; "Secret contract" case set for trial June 13

NFL draft time

This Thursday marks the first day of the three day NFL draft. The final pick of the seventh round on day three, (the last selection is know as "Mr. Irrelevant") concludes the draft each year. Upon the draft's conclusion, NFL teams look to quickly make deals with the players that they have evaluated as the best of the hundreds of undrafted college players. For many agents, particularly those agents of the journeyman variety, the fun part of their job begins as they look to place their undrafted clients on teams where they have the best chance to battle their way onto an active roster, or at least make a practice squad.

Barring a last-second CBA miracle, this year will not allow for the hundreds of undrafted players to strike a deal with an NFL squad immediately after the draft. What will the mind set of these players be who will be left out in the cold? How will they handle this adversity? It will become the job of their agents to ease their fears and help lessen the players' depression that will inevitably set in.

The following link explores what may happen to these undrafted players who will be left out in the cold.

Fiesta Bowl

News on the future of the Fiesta Bowl comes from Park Ridge, Illinois where Fiesta Bowl officials made their argument to stay in the BCS.

etc.

The Ron Prince (former Kansas State head football coach) - Kansas State "secret contract" matter first came to light in the Spring of 2009. Two years later, on June 13, it will finally be coming to trial.
