Tony LaRussa gets involved in Pujols' negotiation

St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa believes Albert Pujols is being heavily pressured by the MLBPA to set a new salary standard in his next contract. Union executive director Michael Weiner denied that there was any involvement with Pujols or his agent Dan Lozano. Cardinals GM John Mozeliak once again stated that the deadline to reach an agreement is today at noon eastern time.

Bonds perjury trial

Judge Susan Illston will allow a 2003 tape recording of Barry Bonds former trainer Greg Anderson talking about Bonds' steroid use. Trainer Anderson will not testify against his former client, and thus Bonds' lawyers argued that the tape should not be admissible.

Contador "Gets by with a little help from his friends"?

NFL increases offer to displaced Super Bowl ticket holders

Maybe the NFLPA should let the displaced Super Bowl ticket holders handle the CBA negotiation. The ticket holders just received a third offer from the NFL, which offers $5,000. to the fans who had tickets but no seats, or reimbursement for all documented expenses if they exceed $5,000.
