Collusion claim filed by NFLPA

In the professional sports world when you hear that a players' union has filed a collusion claim, you most likely think it's from the the baseball players' union. Not this time though. Now it's the NFLPA that is claiming that NFL owners colluded to keep salaries down last off season. In fact it was just a few months ago that the MLBPA and the owners settled a possible collusion claim. Now we have the NFLPA and the owners on a collision course to see if they can kill the goose that laid the golden egg.

Arbitration season

As spring training approaches there is much news on the salary arbitration front.

Lance Armstrong doping inquiry continues

The federal grand jury looking into allegations of doping by the premier cyclist now has more testimony to consider.  Did he use HemAssist? That drug is similar to EPO in its property of boosting blood oxygen carrying capacity, and is reportedly less risky.

For more on this and other recent accusations implicating Armstrong’s former teams, Motorola in the nineties, and the U.S Postal Service up to 2004, see this link .
