$2.75 million settlement for Leavitt

Former University of South Florida football coach Jim Leavitt has a reached a settlement worth $2.75 million with the school. Leavitt was fired after the 2009 season, subsequent to an incident with one of his players at halftime of a game. The Mike Leach and Texas Tech suit will not be settled as easily, so stay tuned.

NFL 18 game proposal not popular with players

Cleveland Browns linebacker Scott Fujita, who is also a member of the NFLPA's executive committee, says the NFL proposal of an 18 game regular season is "completely unacceptable". Don't look for a new CBA anytime soon the way this is going.

Les Miles get 7 year extension in Baton Rouge
