Diana Taurasi faces a ban of up to two years for doping
The US basketball star's chances of playing for the US in the 2012 Olympics are in jeopardy. She tested positive for Modafinil, a stimulant, which she denies ever having taken. The Turkish team, Fenerbache, fired her based upon the test results. She had been playing for them over the winter.
Playoff Pac would like BCS to sink on cruise
“Not only is this cruise problematic under federal tax laws, schools are getting fleeced to pay for these frivolous perks,” Playoff PAC co-founder Matthew Sanderson said in a news release. The anti-BCS group has filed a complaint with the IRS over the "Orange Bowl Summer Splash" cruise, characterizing it as a junket that might be seen to violate the tax-exempt charity status of the Bowl.
