Trading autographs for tattoos; Woods loses another endorsement deal
December 24, 2010
Tattoo U
It seems like we can't go a day without some new compliance issue at one campus or another. One day it's selling a jersey, then it's selling school
books, then a ride in a golf cart, then discounts at department stores, not to
mention a father soliciting bids on his son. Today we have the tattoo parlor.
Five Ohio State players will be forced to miss the first five games of the
2011 season, including quarterback Terrelle Pryor. You ask how come they're not suspended for the upcoming Sugar Bowl? Because the athletes did not receive sufficient rules education during the time period that the violations took place.
Woods no longer a "Gillette Champion"
Procter & Gamble will not renew its endorsement deal with Tiger Woods. Woods was featured in a marketing campaign with Derek Jeter and Roger Federer, that promoted them as "Gillette Champions". Procter & Gamble is the parent company of Gillette. Gillette will continue to use Federer and Jeter on a limited basis.
And happy holidays from your friends at SLT!
