Trouble in the heartland?
The University of Iowa has its own drug testing program separate from the NCAA and the Big Ten. In the wake of star wide receiver Derrell Johnson -Koulianos' arrest last week, and a few other incidents, a major press conference was held in Iowa City on Tuesday. Iowa athletic director Gary Barta announced that the school will be reviewing its drug testing policy, and said that protocols will be re-examined and tightened up.

Michael Weiner, executive director of the Major League Baseball Players Association, pronounced the government decision not to appeal an appeals court ruling that a list of 104 players who tested positive for PEDs was illegally seized, a "significant victory".
