Boras benevolent agent or buying players?

The New York Times is reporting that superstar baseball agent Scott Boras has been loaning money to the families of underage Dominican Republic baseball prospects. Agent unhappy with baseball system for Japanese players

Agent Don Nomura likens the posting system for Japanese ball players with less than nine years of service to that of a foreclosure sale.
