NFLPA president Mawae predicts lock-out in 2011
Among his comments on the current negotiations between the NFLPA and the NFL owners, Kevin Mawae had this to say, "...teams are pinching pennies and it just points to the fact that they’re trying to save money because we truly believe they are going to take us into a lockout situation.”
Tennis player Wayne Odesnik is fined for bringing HGH into Australia, could
face up to two year suspension
American player Odesnik pleaded guilty to a charge of importing human growth hormone into Australia before a tournament. His fine was over $7,000. He faces a possible ban from the sport for 2 years.
The ATP stated, “We are extremely disappointed in the behavior of this individual, which is in no way representative of the sport of tennis.”
“The case has been referred to the tennis anti-doping program, and we don’t have any further comment,” was the ITF's statement on the matter.
