Mauer Deal Done; Michael Wiener on MLB CBA and HGH testing; Nike on Tiger's bag

They're dancing in the streets of the Twin Cities; the MAUER DEAL IS DONE!
There'll be no further comments by Mauer or the Twins until the press conference today at 6:00 pm ET.
A small market team definitely can compete in this instance, shutting out the likes of the Yankees and Red Sox. This good news for Twins fans is tempered by the loss of closer Joe Nathan for the season.
Michael Weiner remarks on MLB CBA and HGH testing
Don Fehr having stepped aside, new union head Michael Weiner is commenting upon the possible timing for CBA negotiations and about the prospects for adopting blood testing for HGH. About HGH testing he had this to say on Sunday, “The test has to be administered in a way that’s safe for the players, and obviously drawing blood has complications that don’t exist with respect to collecting urine. And the test has to be administered in a way where the players can actually go to work. Drawing blood is harder to do.”
Tiger Wood's golf bag will be sporting the Nike brand.
ATT having pulled out as a sponsor, it will be the Nike swoosh stripe that we'll see on Tiger's golf bag. Long-time sponsor Nike will gain even more exposure and, according to Tiger's agent, Mark Steinberg, "We are not actively pursuing new business partnerships at this point in time.”

Tiger will be using the adult model.
