A new 5-year contract for NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell
There is no change in annual compensation, and the Commissioner took a voluntary pay cut last year. The NFL has been cutting jobs, resulting in a 15% reduction last year. With bonuses and incentives, Goodell did report making nearly $10 million for the tax year ending 3/31/09.
The League has made statements to the effect that they looked for continuity in leadership as labor negotiations loom that may result in a 2011 work stoppage.
