Who dat say who dat when we print who dat?- "trademark" pirates?

an NFL trademark?

"Who dat say dey gonna beat dem Saints?", often abbreviated to "Who Dat?", has appreared on shirts, etc., since the 80's.  Sales of thus emblazoned apparel have boomed for the Super Bowl.  Now t-shirt makers have received cease-and-desist letters from the NFL.  When "Who Dat?" is used in conjuction with the Saints' fleur-de-lis logo and other team designs the NFL claims that the shirts infringe on their legal trademark.
