Gary Patterson signs contract extension; Therapeutic Use Exemptions in MLB on the rise; Tiger Woods' endorsement contracts

The Notre Dame job opening sure gives leverage to coaches.  Gary Patterson has signed a two year contract extension.  As to that Notre Dame potential interest, according to TCU's athletic director Del Conte, "We weren't going to wait until the fight came to us.  I wanted to make sure they knew we wanted to keep them. That's why we acted swiftly and quickly."

Jim Bouton's Baseball classic, Ball Four, described "greenies" as one of the prime stimulants used by baseball players to cope with the grind of a 162 game season played out during the course of the summer heat and a brutal travel schedule.  With a stimulant ban now in effect in Baseball, it seems exemptions are being given out in greater number for hyperactivity deficit disorder.
