Al Groh let go; Claudia Pechstein gone for 2 years; Bud Selig going in 2012

University of Virginia Football coach Al Groh was relieved of his duties Sunday following a 3-9 season. Check out his contract; particularly the provisions for termination without cause at 7.2.

Claudia Pechstein
, lost her appeal of a two year ban that was imposed for blood doping by the International Skating Union.  The Olympic speedskating champion will miss the Vancouver Games, and it may be that the decision of The Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland will mark the end of her stellar career.
