November 11, 2009
Michael Vick can keep more than 16 million dollars in roster bonuses. The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the lower court's order finding that Vick had already earned the bonuses before his dogfighting conviction.
League reaction? "That is something that we will seek to change at the bargaining table to ensure that bonus payments are paid to players who comply with their contracts and perform on the field.", said NFL spokesman Greg Aiello.

Class action suit against EA Sports: some perspectives
According to Syracuse University professor Boyce Watkins, "College athletes don't want much. They just want basic compensation for what they do, and many of them are worth millions and millions of dollars. And the fact that you've got these multi-million dollar assets that are only asking for a few thousand bucks is a blessing for the NCAA in many ways."

Safin said that Agassi should "give his titles, his money and his Grand Slam titles" back.

He's pointing fingers
"I'm not defending the ATP, but what he said put it in a delicate position. The ATP allowed him to win a lot of tournaments, a lot of money. It kept his secret. Why does he need to be so cruel with it?"
"You know, the ATP has a bank account and he can give the money back if he wants."
