The Kansas City Chiefs have decided to part ways with running back Larry Johnson. It was just a couple of weeks ago that he was suspended, and then a settlement of the suspension was reached. Under terms of the NFL CBA Johnson will receive the remainder of his salary for this season. This was on the day he had been scheduled to return from suspension for "conduct detrimental to the club."

Developments on the baseball drug list case:
Although the 9th Circuit has been using 11 judge "limited en banc" panels, all 27 judges may rehear the case. Chief Judge Alex Kozinski has called for briefs to be submitted by 11/25 as to whether the full court should hear the case or not. http://nationalpost.stats.com/mlb/story.asp?i=20091109231319330000101&ref=hea&tm=&src=
November is the time of year when NFLPA certified contract advisors really pick up their recruiting activities for the upcoming NFL draft in April. Many draft eligible players will be done with their season in a few weeks if their school is not going to a bowl game in late December or early January. Thus, they will be making their decisions about representation shortly. Players from schools that are going to bowl games have to wait a little bit longer, but in many cases these player have narrowed down their list of prospective agents and have a good idea of whom they want for representation. Now the true battles between agents begins, with the goal of winning the hearts and minds of the draft eligible player.
Dez Bryant of Oklahoma State recently lost his appeal to the NCAA to regain his eligibility. Now he has declared himself for the 2010 NFL draft. Any chance Eugene Parker will end up as his agent?
