NCAA rejects Bryant's appeal
Oklahoma State's All-American receiver Dez Bryant has lost his final appeal, and is therefor suspended for the season. Bryant's attorney, Willie Baker, said that, "He has not told me what he will do, but if I had to guess, I would say that he would decide to not continue with school and just continue to prepare himself for the draft,".

Never mind the excuses, it's a one year suspension for U.S. Open semifinalist Yanina Wickmayer for three times not reporting her whereabouts to drug testing authority:

- $9 million salaries in each of the next two seasons
- 2012 option for $9 million with a $1 million buyout
- option would become guaranteed if Abreu has 550 plate appearances in 2011 or 1,200 in 2010-11 combined
