Rick Pitino: Morality Clause Comes Into Play

Okay, okay, we don't think this is sports law, but there is law involved, and this will be in court. It deals with a coach, his huge contract, and the interpretation of that contract. Also, if you represent Coach Pitino, how do you wiggle out of this so that he keeps his job? Lets ignore the more tawdry aspects of this and concentrate on how you would represent Coach Pitino. Many years ago there was an article entitled The Ritual of Wiggle dealing with how to get out of these embarrassing scandals. Pitino will probably try to come clean and hope it blows over after a while. Sure, in every away game this year he’ll be in for it from the student sections, but he’ll have to deal with it.  It won't be long until someone else's scandal knocks this out of the headlines.
