More Class-Action Antitrust Suits Against NCAA, Collegiate Licensing, And EA Sports

Another class-action lawsuit has been filed against the NCAA and Collegiate Licensing Company for the use of players' images and likenesses in video content, photos, and other memorabilla.  The lead plaintiff is former UCLA basketball star Ed O'Bannon.  At this time O'Bannon is a class of one, but plaintiff's attorney Michael Hausfield expects the lawsuit to include many more former Division I football and basketball players. This is the third such suit filed against the NCAA.  Former quarterback at Arizona State and Nebraska Sam Keller filed a class action suit recently, and also included EA Sports as a defendant.  Also, former Rutgers quarterback Ryan Hart is suing EA Sports in New Jersey for using his likeness without permission.

Interestingly enough, former shoe company executive, the "always controversial" Sonny Vaccaro approached Ed O'Bannon about filing the class action law suit. See links below:
